TV Instructions - Sceptre 50 inch smart TV in main living area

To watch Direct TV:

1. Ensure that the power is on for the TV and small Direct TV box right below the TV screen.
2. Click the 'source' button on the Sceptre remote until the screen shows INPUTS: Direct TV. The 'source' button is between the volume and channel buttons
3. Next use the Direct TV remote. Click the Guide button, then use the up/down arrow to select the channel, then click the round 'Select' button.

To watch a DVD:

1. Ensure that the power is on for the TV and Sanyo DVD player on the middle shelf. To turn the power on the Sanyo DVD power, click the red button on the small Sanyo remote or press the right round button on the front of the Sanyo DVD player.
2. Click the 'source' button on the remote until the screen shows INNPUTS: DVD. The 'source' button is between the volume and channel buttons
3. Use the left round button to eject the tray, place DVD in tray and click the eject button again to insert the DVD
4. Click the play button on the remote or click the center round button on the front of the DVD player to play the DVD.

To watch Netflix or YouTube, simply click the Netflix/YouTube button on the Sceptre remote.
To watch movies, shows or other live TV:

1. Click the round Home button on the Sceptre remote
2. Use the up, down, left, right buttons to select your application and click OK
3. To exit, use the Home or Back buttons

TV Instructions - Philips 50 inch smart TV in master bedroom

To watch Direct TV:

1. Ensure that the power is on for the TV and small Direct TV box right below the TV screen. Use the red button on the RCA remote to turn on the TV.
2. The source button on the universal remote does not work with this TV. The TV should already be on HDMI 1.
3. Next use the Direct TV remote. Click the Guide button, then use the up/down arrow to select the channel, then click the round 'Select' button.

To watch a DVD:

1. Ensure that the power is on for the TV and SONY DVD player. To turn the power on the Sony DVD player, click the ON/OFF button on the left side of the DVD player or press the power button on the Sony remote.
2. Use the eject button to eject the tray, place DVD in tray and click the eject button again to insert the DVD
3. Click the play button on the remote or click the play button on the front of the Sony DVD player.

To watch Netflix or YouTube, simply click the Netflix/YouTube button on the Philips remote (coming soon).
To watch movies, shows or other live TV:

1. Click the round Home button on the Philips remote (coming soon)
2. Use the up, down, left, right buttons to select your application and click OK
3. To exit, use the Home or Back buttons
